These days pickup trucks are everywhere. The days where pickups were used only for work are in the past. Today’s pickups can be optioned to be as opulent as the iconic names in luxury. As the name suggests, a regular cab pickup has one row of seating with limited legroom and storage space. A regular cab was once the only configuration available on pickups. In most regular cabs, the seats nearly touch the back side of the cab. This style is the practical version of a pickup truck and can usually be ordered with manual windows and locks. A regular cab is made for work, not for hauling your friends and family around.
As one could probably assume, an Extended Cab pickup truck (can also be called a Double Cab ) is just a Regular Cab with extra room behind the front-row seats. When first introduced, extended cab pickups were only available as 2-door models and only had rear jump seats available. Occasionally known as a Double Cab pickup, these trucks now come with tiny, second-row doors for easy access to the cargo area. While there are 2 rows of seating, an Extended Cab pickup truck would not be the best choice for long trips, even though it can haul more passengers.
While maybe not as apparent as the previous versions, a Crew Cab truck features 4 full-size doors and the space to transport, well, your whole ‘crew.’ Crew Cab pickup trucks are built to transport more of your stuff and-or people. For some people, these styles of pickups have become the family vehicle.
